A Tailoring Machine, A New Life: Meena’s Journey

At first, Meena was nervous. She had never stitched anything in her life. But with the support of our trainers and fellow learners, she quickly gained confidence. Over three months, she mastered basic tailoring skills, learned how to take customer measurements, and even experimented with embroidery.

After graduating from the course, Meena received a second-hand sewing machine donated by a kind supporter. She now earns ₹200–₹300 per day by stitching blouses, doing alterations, and taking local orders from neighbors.

More importantly, Meena says she has found her voice. “Earlier, I never made a single decision in my house. Now I contribute money and ideas,” she beams.

Her journey is a testament to our belief that when women are given tools and training, they create magic. We are proud of Meena and hundreds like her who are rewriting their futures with their own hands.
